Under the general direction of the Program Coordinator, the incumbent is accountable for providing job search support and coaching for internationally trained IT professionals enrolled in the Mobile Systems Integration Bridging Program funded by the Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration. The incumbent will be primarily responsible for reviewing, critiquing and finalizing student resumes and other job search documents, conducting mock interviews, helping students to secure and conduct information interviews, and assisting them with interview preparation. The incumbent will also assist the team with the recruitment and screening of program candidates.
The successful candidate will possess a degree/diploma in Social Work, Career &Work Counselling, Human Resources, or a related field along with a minimum of 2 years’ experience providing employment services to newcomers to Canada. Additional qualifications include excellent interpersonal and communication skills, teambuilding, organizational, and problem solving skills. Knowledge of Information Technology (networking, security, virtualization) will be considered an asset.
