The 4th edition of the International Digital Art Biennale (BIAN) and the 19th International Digital Art Festival will be back in June 2018 under the theme – Sing the Body Electric. The BIAN 2018 will be curated by Peter Weibel, artist, curator and director of the ZKM – Zentrum für Kunst und Medien Karlsruhe. Germany will be the guest country. The installations and performances works presented will raise timely questions regarding the sociocultural implications of the new relationships of the body with a world increasingly populated by intelligent and adaptive artificial agents.

On the occasion of this new edition, having developed and implemented organizational procedures and procedures, we would like to welcome an intern in our team. The professional experience of our team and the coaching that we will be able to offer him will benefit the intern, while giving him an important role in the organization of the 2018 BIAN.

The selected intern will be in charge of the partnership management and communication upstream of the BIAN and the festival. He / she will learn and develop these components under the supervision of the Director of Communications and our Executive Director. His involvement, his creativity and contribution with new ideas will be invaluable for the organization of events.

Fields of activity:

- Partnership Management

Upon arrival, the intern will be required to follow up with our cultural partners, media, tourists, students and some government partners. Subsequently, under the direction of the team, he / she will be able to prospect new partnerships. Following the agreements between the organizations and ELEKTRA, the intern will liaise with these organizations and individuals, and will ensure the respect of visibility agreements, exchanges and invitations by both parties.

- Follow-up the relations with ELEKTRA partners (the exchanges, negotiations and drafting of visibility and sponsorship agreements, sponsorship file, press kits);

- Prospecting and looking for new partners (sponsorship proposal, promoting the event in local and tourist institutions, universities, schools, etc.)

- Partners ticketing follow-up

- Logistical support of the event regarding the reception of partners

Communication strategy and digital marketing

- Executing social media strategies developed by the communication team: create and follow publication calendars, ability to compose posts (in French and English a major asset), and help creating visual content (photos, videos, GIFs …)

- Target and identify new collaborations that help to develop the promotion of ELEKTRA and reach new audiences

- Update content on the website: creating and posting article and festival events, adding partners mentions and logos

- Assistance in the production and dissemination of communication tools (mailing, distribution)

- Follow up of press relations (press review, press list, invitations)

- Development and invitation of bloggers, influencers and independent journalists

- Help with writing reports and communication reports

- Provide general support to the team in the organization of activities, participate actively in production meetings

Your profile:

- Studies completed in Communications, Digital Media or Marketing

- Bilingual (English and French) oral and written

- Knowledges in Adobe suite and Mac environment

- Knowledge of Google Adwords and Facebook business (asset)

- A keen interest in digital art, media arts and new technologies

- Creative, organized and autonomous

- Ability and willingness to acquire new skills

Duration and conditions:

- Availability (full time) – 9:30 am to 5:30 pm

- Monthly public transport expenses are covered by ELEKTRA
