Specific Accountabilities:

  • Review requirement specifications and system design documents to ensure integrity of the system; maintain integrity of projects within given timeframe.
  • Assist in the time estimation of the QA efforts and the optimization of QA effort.
  • Ensure QA Methodology, processes and standards are followed and adhered to in projects and within the QA team.
  • Identify interdependencies of system changes and analyze the impact through different means such as reviews, walkthroughs, providing visibility to the QA systems, etc.
  • Work with the QA Lead to assist with resource planning, test scheduling and work prioritization.
  • Design and develop test plans, test cases, and test data.
  • Enforce and adhere to peer review of QA documentation ensuring full test case coverage of the requirements.
  • Execute manual and automated tests in a timely manner, reporting progress and defects to the QA Lead on a regular basis.
  • Execute and maintain the regression test suite.
  • Provide assistance and training to the team members.
  • Ensure rollback is planned for every deployment and executed when necessary.
  • Work in conjunction with Release management on implementation process, ensuring proper environments are used, and QA tasks performed before the implementation.
  • Review the test results prior to signoff.
  • Assist QA team members in preparing the post implementation lessons learned.

Your Skills Make the Difference

Education:

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or applicable business discipline or equivalent from a recognized institution

Experience:

  • 5 – 7 years related Quality Assurance testing experience
  • 5+ years’ experience testing high volume transaction-based, enterprise-wide systems
  • 5+ years testing experience with web-based, N-Tier architecture, high transactional systems
  • A successful track record in planning, organizing and ensuring that the testing needs of your IT project teams were addressed
  • A successful track record in leading testing for large scale projects where the need to provide effort estimations and resource assignments were involved.

Technical Knowledge & Skills:

  • Knowledge of testing both GUI and web transaction based technologies for complex and large enterprise applications.
  • Strong experience in testing, troubleshooting, developing test cases and test scripts
  • Sound knowledge of web services, WSDL, WS Security and SOAP.
  • Good scripting skills with XML, XSLT and XPATH.
  • Knowledge of HL7 v2 and v3.
  • Hands on knowledge with SOAP UI PRO.
  • Knowledge of SQL scripting.
  • Understanding of SAML and XACML protocols.
  • Understanding of Public Key Infrastructure and SSL/TLS protocols.
  • Understanding of data transformation using products such as WebSphere Datapower.
  • Knowledge of testing and configuration management tools such as Rational Requirements Composer, Rational Quality Manager, Rational Team Concert and Microsoft Team Foundation Server.
  • Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycles, RUP and release processes such as ITIL.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Expert analytical and organizational skills
  • Team player with the ability to work with both business and technical teams.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
  • Knowledge of Health Care sector.
  • Basic Unix commands and knowledge of ETL process
