eHealth Ontario is the organization enabling physicians and health care providers establish and maintain electronic health records (EHRs) for all of Ontario’s 13 million residents.
The Account Management business unit at eHealth Ontario is accountable for the overall customer experience. This includes developing and maintaining relationships with agency partners and stakeholders, understanding their respective roadmaps and strategies, and aligning them with those of the agency. Account Management serves as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders, and provides leadership and oversight for the onboarding, population and consumption of EHR assets and services. Account Management maintains awareness of customer needs, demands and interactions with all facets of the agency.
Description of Responsibilities
The Account Specialist will work independently to lead the implementation of projects that involve connection to the EHR, including the onboarding, population and consumption of EHR assets.
Your Chance to Shine: Specific Accountabilities Project Management:
Work independently with key stakeholders and delivery partners to manage, coordinate and support the implementation and adoption of eHealth Ontario assets and services
Support the development of adoption plans for eHealth Ontario solutions as well as strategies that maximize the reuse of existing community based solutions as foundational elements that enable the eHealth Ontario Strategy
Work collaboratively with eHealth Ontario project staff to ensure successful completion of client project deliverables.
Ensure compliance with and adhere to eHealth Ontario, provincial, and legislated standards and protocols with respect to privacy and security of information
Identify and manage risks, safeguards information and other assets of eHealth Ontario by following and ensuring compliance with organizational policies
Identify, manage and resolve issues that impede adherence to business objectives.
Perform client needs analysis and prepares documentation as required.
Continuously seek and identify opportunities for the improvement of eHealth Ontario processes and procedures, and contribute to problem solving and improvement initiatives.
Contribute to the development of guides, tools, templates and supports for inclusion in toolkits for organizations and sites deploying eHealth solutions
Manage client correspondence, files, and related documentation. Research and facilitate resolution of problems, complaints, queries and concerns, escalating issues as necessary.
Liaise with stakeholders to address issues of mutual interest and resolve issues of concern.
Ensure clients are aware of eHealth Ontario expectations and contribute tactical knowledge of the health sector and eHealth Ontario Strategy
Maximize client satisfaction by providing consistent, proactive and responsive account management services
Ensure eHealth Ontario management is apprised of the status of client relationships and projects, through appropriate reporting.
Work with Agency communications on public and client messaging as needed
Maintain links with broader health sector, as required, for information and communication regarding broader eHealth implementation and deployment issues
Develop and present effective presentations to clients, eHealth Ontario staff and management as appropriate.
Planning and Reporting:
Contribute to the development of account plans, the Annual Business Plan and the Agency Roadmap as requested
Support the reporting of progress against plan
Assist in the definition of adoption metrics and the development of adoption targets
Your Skills Make the Difference: Experience 5-8 years of project management experience, particularly working on large-scale technology product and service development initiatives
Prior experience working within the healthcare sector or within healthcare IT and knowledge of Public Health issues/strategies.
Clinical experience is an asset.
Experience in information technology and a track record of successful delivery of client solutions; demonstrated success leading complex portfolios of priority client initiatives.
Strong experience in change management, ideally in the healthcare sector
Strong reputation as being a strategic business partner, who is able to help build solutions for client needs.
Demonstrated commitment to and achievement of client satisfaction
Expertise in liaising with external client executives and internal project teams, ensuring advocacy, scope compliance and contract obligations are met.
Proven ability to lead, collaborate and facilitate to successful outcomes
Technical Knowledge & Skills Able to communicate a complex series of activities and deliverables in a project plan at the detailed and high levels in MS Project or equivalent
Strong diplomatic skills to manage and resolve issues internal and external to eHealth Ontario to align expectations and clearly define expectations
Ability to interpret technical issues into meaningful information for both a technical and non-technical client audience.
Demonstrated knowledge of project delivery methods and tools and experience in IT project management
Knowledge of health information systems is an asset.
Demonstrated analytical skills including data, report and policy analysis.
Communications skills: excellent team, interpersonal, written, verbal and, presentation skills.
Knowledge of adult learning principles and change management concepts
Knowledge of adult learning principle based training that may include instructional design and development of eLearning or computer based training
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Microsoft Project
Education University degree in a related discipline
Project Management Professional designation preferred
Clinical background is preferred
Working Conditions Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm, with some afterhours work required
