Edmonton Public Schools is looking for a permanent, full-time (1.000 FTE) Speech Language Pathologist Consultant to work with children in the pre-Kindergarten program. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teachers, educational assistants, families and community partners to provide safe, caring, healthy, diverse, inclusive and equitable learning experiences for all students.

ABOUT YOUR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • you have a Master’s degree in speech language pathology
  • you are registered with Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists
  • you have a minimum of three years related experience in classroom-based service delivery to children
  • you have excellent communication, collaboration and consultative skills

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Speech Language Pathologist Consultant will:

  • provide consultative services to schools and families for children in pre-kindergarten who have speech language speech challenges
  • provide treatment, intervention and assessments, recommend appropriate communication systems and programming for students with complex learning needs through collaborative partnerships with teachers and other professionals
  • participate and conduct Family Oriented Programming Sessions, and develop and present family workshops and home visits
