Do you make a great first impression? Are you someone who shines not only in personality, but also in your ability to handle a variety of tasks – and even the occasional unexpected challenge with a smile? If so, you might be ECO Canada’s new Finance Assistant.

As a key support to the Finance and Administration team, your main role will help the finance and internship team with processing financial documents to help issue payments. You will also be responsible for a number of key functions within the accounting and finance department, and play an active role in supporting the completion of the internship program.

Please note this role is for a temporary 2-month contract.


As ECO Canada’s Administrative Assistant, your job responsibilities will include:

  • Finance/Accounting support – book keeping, verifying financial documents, following up with clients on missing documents and inputting information into the internal ECO system.
  • Customer Service – providing assistant to internship clients when they are not sure what documents they need to provide ECO Canada for payments, following up with clients if documents are past due, processing files on a timely basis.
  • Program support – working collaboratively with the internship team to support them on outstanding administrative tasks.


You have a post-secondary degree/diploma, 1-2 years of Administrative experience and possess the following skills:

  • Great attitude and ability to maintain control while coordinating activities and balancing multiple priorities;
  • Proficient computer skills and experience with MS Office;
  • Knowledge and experience within a Financial Department considered an asset;
  • Book keeping skills and a basic understanding of payables;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills combined with an acute attention to detail;
  • Well-developed, independent work ethic along with ability to communicate with the team and external parties;
  • Professional attitude with staff and clients with a focus on providing exceptional service; and
  • Motivated self-starter with a strong desire to learn and a willingness to adapt to a variety of situations.
