EC Montreal is a private language school specializing in the instruction of English and French as second languages. Since 1991, our expertise in teaching and hosting has satisfied students from around the world.
Our summertime Young Learners is a language programme for teens aged 13-17 years from all over the world. The purpose of the programme is to provide a language-learning experience in an enjoyable context. The programme takes place during the months of July and August and offers 3 hours of instruction daily in either English or French, followed by a supervised lunch and activities. Qualified teachers will be responsible for the language instruction, and activity leaders will be responsible for leading the activities.
Position Summary:
The Young Learners Activity Coordinator is responsible for the organisation and delivery of the social and leisure program at our EC Montreal school. This role is focused on delivering great service to our students at all times as well as resolving product and service problems with an outcome that the student appreciates, and by ensuring each students experience with EC exceeds their expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Acts as the key point of contact and advisor for all students to the summer centre, ensuring they are all dealt with in a courteous and professional manner, providing the necessary advice and assistance, and effectively dealing with any requests and feedback
Assists in the planning, implementation and promoting of student activities assisting students with their requirements in this area.
Responsible for ensuring company and regulatory procedures are followed accurately and in a timely manner including student immigration requirements and statutory procedures.
Continuously evaluates and identifies opportunities to drive process improvements and service applications that positively impact the student’s experience
Provides general administrative and record keeping support for the summer centre as directed by the Programme Manager, Academic Manager and if applicable Operations Manager.
Other related duties as assigned by Summer Centre management
Education Required:
Higher Education
Education Desired:
Degree in Hospitality Field
Knowledge of a language other than English
Experience Required:
Customer Service experience
Working in a multi-cultural environment
Experience Desired:
Has personally travelled as a language student
Customer Service experience within an EFL context
