We are currently hiring for a Legal Assistant . This position will be based out of our Hamilton Location at Jackson square and will report to Vice President – Collections.

The shifts for this position would be Monday – Friday 9 am – 5pm.

Primary Duties Include:
Be responsible for all legal action taken for easyhome and easyfinancial
Perform activities related to drafting of relevant legal documents
Assist easyhome and easyfinancial stores in responding to legal questions
Report on the legal actions started in the easyhome and easyfinancial stores
Review and recommend settlements and payment arrangement for legal accounts
Prepare documents and obtain relevant records for litigation and perform complex legal/administrative work
Required Experience/Skills/Qualifications

Minimum of two (2) years solid work experience as a paralegal/legal assistant, for a bank or finance company, or collections company
Post-Secondary education as Legal assistant /Paralegal Diploma or equivalent training/experience
Ability to edit and proof legal documents
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure
Ability to manage multiple priorities while paying attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal and client service skills, professional and positive demeanor
Confident and dependable, with strong initiative and ability to work both independently and in a team oriented atmosphere
Strong technical skills (including Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel)
Flexibility to work overtime when necessary
