Eagle is currently seeking a Technical Architect . This is an eleven (11) month, contract position scheduled to start in July.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Performing coding in PL/SQL and Java ;

Defining the application architecture;

Developing technical architectures, frameworks and strategies for a major application area, to meet the business and application requirements;

Analyzing functional requirements to identify information, procedures and decision flows and resolving high-level functional issues;

Providing continuity in major application solution decisions;

Working with project team members to determine data requirements, structure, and distribution;

Defining and documenting interfaces of manual to automated operations within application sub-systems, to external systems and between new and existing systems;

Defining input/output sources, including detail plan for technical design phase, and obtaining approval of the system proposal; and,

Identifying and documenting system specific standards relating to programming, documentation and testing, covering program libraries, data dictionaries, naming conventions, etc.

Skills and Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have:
University degree and minimum five (5) years of experience in a related business or technology discipline Or two-year (2) college diploma in a related business or technology discipline and minimum ten (10) years of experience in a related business or technology discipline Or minimum fifteen (15) years of experience in a related business or technology discipline;

Six (6) years of PL SQL and JAVA programming;

Minimum three (3) years demonstrable experience within the last five (5) years in the development of software solutions using PL SQL and/or JAVA in an Oracle RDBMS environment while working as programmer;

Experience developing data interfaces to a COTS product;

Knowledge of Oracle Integration Broker;

Previous GCPMP project experience;

Experience with Canadian federal government projects;

Experience with Production support; and,

Knowledge of Government standards such as MSFT
