Eagle is currently seeking a Solution Architect for a three (3) month contract opportunity, scheduled to begin in June, located in Burnaby.

Key Responsibilities of a Solution Architect

The successful Solution Architect candidate will:
Fully participate in weekly and ad hoc meetings to support timely provision of information related to progress, status, issues, risks, and solutions related to data lifecycle management and system decommission activities into technical architectural system designs and occasionally prototypes;

Perform vendor product and service reviews and analysis;

Recommend architectural solutions that satisfy technical/functional requirements and align with the enterprise strategy;

Enhance and validate proposed conceptual architecture;

Propose short term and long term data management solution and technology options for clinical and business information systems with initial focus decommissioning roadmap;

Revise and complete the enterprise data lifecycle management and decommissioning strategy including a roadmap and approach to transition from current state architecture to planned future state architecture;

Facilitate training and orientation for stakeholders as related to the data lifecycle management and decommissioning strategy and solutions; and,

Collaborate with cross function and multi-disciplinary teams across CST, VCH, PHC, and PHSA to complete assigned tasks and deliverables.

Skills and Qualifications of a Solution Architect

The qualified Solution Architect candidate must have:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in the related field;

An absolute minimum of ten (10) years of directly related Consulting Category experience;

Experience working within the Health Authorities;

Ability to effectively navigate and deliver results in a large and complex environment;

Strong forward thinking, analytical, interpersonal, and problem solving skills;

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts and topics in layman’s terms to non-subject matter experts and build consensus and credibility among diverse stakeholder groups;

Proven success in architecting integrated solution architectures from business, conceptual, logical and physical levels;

Expert knowledge and experience with RDMS and cloud technologies and strategies, including ELT, design, implementation, support and administration functions;

Ability to work expeditiously as an individual contributor and as a team member;

Ability to coordinate, prioritize and complete multiple tasks;

Working knowledge on and experience with agile as well as waterfall project management concepts, practices, and deliverables; and,

Exceptional MS Office skills.
