Job Title: Purchasing Coordinator

Location: Duha Color Services Winnipeg location (750 Bradford St., Winnipeg MB)


We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Purchasing Coordinator. Reporting to the Costing Analyst, the Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for managing the day-to day relationships within the supply chain from an operational perspective. Serving as the primary contact between Operations/Production and Suppliers to ensure fluent production needs.


  • Understand the material demand for production and monitor inventory Level.
  • Plan and process purchasing orders and follow up on deliveries.
  • Expedite purchase orders to support the production schedule.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with suppliers.
  • Work with internal customers to help investigate and resolve any supplier noncompliance issues and resolve quantity and quality discrepancies.
  • Manage supplier related documents (purchase agreements, price list etc.)
  • Continuously identify and evaluate opportunities to reduce total costs, increase process efficiency and improve supply reliability.


A successful candidate for this role will demonstrate some or all of the following characteristics:

  • A quick learner and a self- starter
  • Highly motivated individual with a strong team work ethic
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • A strong analytical mindset and demonstrated ability to analyze information, situations, problems, policies and procedures to formulate logical and objective recommendations and decisions
  • Experience with various inventory systems including Kanban, vendor managed, or others a definite asset
  • Familiarity with basic accounting principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Basic knowledge and experience with Supply Chain principles, contract development and negotiations
  • Familiarity with CRM systems an asset (ideally Salesforce)
