Reporting to the Manager, Employee Service Centre (DESC) – Canada, your role as Coordinator, Pension Plans (US & CAN) will consist in providing support to the Pension Plan Specialists within the DESC as well as Domtar’s Payroll team and the Pension Center of Expertise for all f or all questions relating to system interfaces with our external program administrators, changes of rules in the IT management system and reconciliations or calculations of contribution remittances to Treasury.

More specifically, you will have to:
Validate system data compliance to ensure that results are adequate for various requests pertaining to pension plans and 401(k);
Prepare and send contributions and loan payments to the provider;
Prepare electronic transfer requests for each of the appropriate plans and ensure the accuracy of the data transferred, and handle manual corrections to files, with a view to restoring certain dossiers;
Prepare and send the data required to the provider at each pay period, as well as year-end files;
Review the provider’s processes and examine exceptions or errors; ensure that information on demographic changes, data collection, contributions, salaries and hours worked is consistent;
Participate in the annual validation of pension adjustment amounts;
Assist and support internal and external auditors during annual audits;
Answer questions and provide assistance to various internal resources.

You must successfully complete a selection process that includes interviews, aptitude tests (for some positions) and reference verification.

Position Requirements

You hold a College or University degree in administration, accounting or a related field;

You have 2 years of experience in pension plans;

Your proficiency in SAP is an invaluable asset;

You demonstrate strong analytical skills, meticulousness and an ability to summarize information;

You are capable of quickly understanding and adapting to a fast-paced and changing environment;

You enjoy working with numbers and systems;

You are recognized for your problem-solving skills;

You adopt a dynamic approach in your communication with colleagues

You have an advanced level of knowledge of Excel;

You are fluent in French and English (spoken and written).
