DLL Canada invites you to share in our success by joining our Finance Department. We are hiring a Finance Summer Student.

DAY TO DAY

Performing daily and monthly reconciliations within a timely manner ensuring that major differences are resolved before closing. Investigate any differences and document accordingly.

Posting monthly journal entries to Great Plains Dynamics within the tight month-end deadlines

Preparing the EFT and Wire file updates, cheque register update and bank reconciliations for the Treasury team

Monitoring and following-up on outstanding cheques on a weekly basis

Preparing the income analysis report for management on a weekly and monthly basis

Special projects and other duties as assigned by management from time to time

Preparation for auditor visits in co-operation with the accounting team. This includes providing audit samples for the Internal Audit, PwC, CRA, Ryan Tax and Microsoft audits.

ESSENTIALS

Currently enrolled or graduated from a post-secondary institution specializing in finance or accounting

Strong excel skills and proficiency with Word

Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills

Accurate, detail-oriented with good follow-up skills

Strong organization and prioritization skills

Excellent problem solving skills

Proficiency in documentation

Self-motivated, capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment
