NV-11 The incumbent will provide leadership and influence various stakeholders in strategic and complex files that require extensive and in-depth expertise related to his/her field of expertise. He/she will be a content expert for members of his/her unit and clientele. He/she may be called on to take on the functional supervision, coordination and coaching of professionals in his/her unit or other sectors.

General Information on the Position

The person in this position is mainly responsible for managing the project management resources within the caisse network.

Main Responsibilities

  • Take on responsibility for projects, mandates and development activities specific to his/her field of expertise, the scale and impact of which are significant to the organization and could impact Desjardins Group as a whole.
  • Advise and support clientele in the positioning, planning, development, fulfillment and follow-up on various strategic mandates under his/her responsibility.
  • Monitor to understand and anticipate trends in his/her field of expertise and make appropriate recommendations to ensure development of best practices.
  • Oversee the development and amendment of policies, standards, models and programs to support the units strategic projects and mandates.
  • Develop performance indicators and tracking methods. Identify problems and make recommendations to concerned authorities.
  • Negotiate agreements with decision-making authorities of external businesses or organizations, as required.
  • Frequently represent the unit on various committees made up of senior executives and before decision-making bodies.
  • Serve as a contact person for unit and clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 8 years of relevant experience
  • Master’s degree in project management (asset)
  • PMP certification or in the process of obtaining it
  • Independent speaker, upper intermediate knowledge of English
  • Customer focus
