Position summary

We are looking for an experienced (5+ Years) Sr. IT Administrator to join our IT Team in a call center environment. You will design, deploy, and maintain networks with regular updates to documented network information. In addition to a broad knowledge of computer software, internet applications, networks and operating systems you will have proven hands-on experience with Cisco administration to help support our wide area network and our growing number of campaigns.

Our goal is to build, maintain and update computer networks that are efficient and optimize the role of IT within our business. You will be working in tandem with additional IT staff, business solutions technicians, and operations staff of 250 employees. As a network administrator you will also provide input and direction to management to help them propose and implement IT infrastructure solutions. Uptime is critical in a 24/7 environment and off hour duties and on call time is a requirement.


  • Monitor client networks, servers, workstations and network infrastructure
  • Manage, troubleshoot and configure switches, access points, routers, firewalls and other network infrastructure devices
  • Proactively maintain servers, computers and necessary peripheral devices, including printers, scanners, etc.
  • Install and configure software according to industry best practices
  • Develop and maintain networks in ways that optimize performance
  • Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
  • Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance
  • Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems
  • Maintain records/logs of maintenance, repairs and fixes
  • Identify computer or network equipment for replacement, upgrade or decommissioning
  • Maintain managed services infrastructure, monitoring tools and systems
  • Provide reporting for client sites and make recommendations to help better their IT environmen


  • Extensive experience in network administration and network design (LAN &WAN)
  • Extensive demonstrated knowledge and experience configuring routers, switches and firewalls
  • Experience with design, installation and configuration of network solutions that support a customer’s business
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, within a team, with customers as well as the ability to work independently within a team environment
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
  • In depth understanding of diverse networks and computer systems
  • Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
  • Industry certifications will be a distinct advantage (e.g. Cisco, VMware, Microsoft)
  • In depth knowledge of networking protocols

The following experience would be advantageous

  • Hands-on knowledge of virtualization, using Checkpoint, Windows environments and PCI
  • Telecom and asset, Avaya and Genesys
  • Experience with design, configuration and deployment of Active Directory Domains, Policies, trust relationships
  • Maintenance of Exchange servers and anti-virus/spam solutions
  • Hands on experience supporting DPS and VoIP
