Dependable Truck & Tank Limited was founded in 1975 and is, as it began, a family operated business. Our innovative design and engineering concepts allow us to manufacture cargo tanks, trailers and emergency vehicles to our client’s specifications. We manufacture versatile cargo tanks and trailer tankers for the distribution of petroleum products and other bulk related products. We also manufacture tankers for municipal maintenance applications. Our custom tanks range in size from 2000 litre truck-mounted units to 60,000 litre B-train units.

POSITION SUMMARY Under the direct supervision of the Manager, this position provides administrative and secretarial support for designated staff members. In addition to administrative support, performs duties such as data entry and filing of financial records, proof materials prepared by staff. Drafts correspondence and assembles highly confidential and sensitive information. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize diversified workload, recommends changes in office practices or procedures.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide administrative support to designated staff members
  • Assist with preparation of materials for major meetings and seminar
  • Assist with data entry and filing of accounting records
  • Assist with annual member dues invoices
  • Maintain and update filing system
  • Proof materials prepared by staff
  • Prepare general correspondence, memos, etc
  • Serve as the backup to the Research & Development Assistant

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
To perform effectively in this position, the applicant must have:

  • A minimum of an associate degree in a business related field * Five to Seven years of administrative experience. * Experience with drafting/writing communications to various stakeholders * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Strong organizational skills and able to work independently with little supervision * Proficiency in 2010 Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. Testing of skill level may be required as part of the interview process.
