The Sandman Catering Division located at 1800B Victoria Ave East, Regina, SK, is currently recruiting for the positions of BANQUET SERVER. This is a FULL TIME, 24/7 operation and a variety of shifts may be required to meet the needs of this position. Weekends, Day, afternoon and late night shifts may be required. All customer orders are prepared following Company specifications, safe food handling and timing standards.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide excellent service for all clients.
Prepare and set up room per client request (function sheet) and instructions.
Greet clients/guests and provide efficient and timely food and beverage service.
Assist with turnovers, tear-downs and all service functions related to the event.
Servers/bartenders will practice the Serving it Right guidelines and follow SK Liquor Laws when serving alcoholic beverages.
Servers/bartenders will maintain a clean and safe work environment for team members/ guests.
Will participate in department meetings, and any other meetings as requested.
Adhere to all environment policies and procedures as required.
Be able to prioritize tasks and work smart be organized.
Show a willingness to improve work techniques and show enthusiasm and courtesy when dealing with clients (on the job and outside of work).
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must be Serving it Right certified.
Must have 1 3 years experience in catering industry.
Must know and use proper etiquette when serving.
Must have bartender skills and experience.
Must be able to be on your feet for long periods.
Must be energetic and able to move quickly and work with enthusiasm.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
Must be well groomed, courteous and respectful with a friendly personality.
A sound knowledge of wines and wine service is an asset.
