Large and Fast Growing Auto Dealer Group looking for qualified candidates to fill the position of ‘ Regional Director – Eastern Ontario ’.

The position entails oversight and ultimate P&L responsibility for a portfolio of 5 – 10 dealerships. The existing portfolio generates ~$160 mm in revenue and retails ~3,500 vehicles / annum and are clustered in two markets.

The Regional Director will have underlying General Managers and Department Managers reporting directly to him or her and will be responsible for executing the overall strategic direction of the dealership portfolio and achieving budgeted targets. The Regional Director role will naturally expand as the Group acquires additional dealerships and could also convert into a head office executive role with a demonstrated track record of success. This position reports directly to the CEO of the Group.

The position requires travel throughout Eastern Ontario and the expectation would be the Regional Director will be in one of their portfolio of dealerships on a daily basis.

The Group believes in performance based compensation plans – the Regional Director will be paid a strong base salary and have significant bonus compensation tied to target achievement. The Regional Director will also be provided a Company vehicle.

- Strong experience in auto retail, specifically in leading a strong dealership and / or strong variable department at a high performing dealership. 5 – 20 years preferred.

- Demonstrated Track Record of Results

- Strong process disposition and an understanding of best in class dealer level process that drives results in key departments

- Strong knowledge of common dealership tools including DMS providers, Desking Tools, CRM systems, etc.

- Operates with a high sense of urgency with a bias to action

- Analytically disposed in evaluating performance and mapping out solutions

- Accountable and Results Oriented with strong track record of execution and follow through

- Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated track record and ability to manage managers as well as underlying employees

- Positive disposition, humility with an ability to get alignment and buy-in from direct reports


- Post-Secondary Education strongly preferred

- Automotive Management courses a plus but not required
