The Day & Ross Transportation Group is currently seeking a full-time International Logistics Coordinator for our Trade Network division in Florenceville-Bristol, NB.

As an International Logistics Coordinator, you effectively perform the tasks assigned regarding all logistics related transactions between customers and carrier partners.

It is your responsibility to work as an effective member of the team to achieve a positive impact to our customer and corporate expectations. This position is all about collaboratively communicating and performing daily operations to meet goals.

To be successful in this role, you will effectively complete the following (not an exhaustive list of responsibilities):

• Maintain contact with the customers and carriers throughout the duration of the order, communicating both positive and negative occurrences.
• Understand the wide array of carriers and vessel schedules that are available and their capabilities in order to match them to the Customers’ needs.
• Coordinate both ocean container and airline shipments.
• Schedule inland and ocean carriers based on vessel and flight details.
• Working with Team Lead, Managers, and Pricing& Sales in order to quickly resolve any issues that arise in the most cost effective manner.
• Negotiate and mitigate any additional charges with carriers and assist to maintain the accuracy of the carrier information.
• Understand current industry market conditions and communicate any carrier issues that might impact operations as a whole with the entire team.
• Receive, analyze and process booking information from the Customer in order to identify and confirm the appropriate routes, verify the service requirements, and enter the information into our Cargowise system.

To be qualified for this role, please ensure your resume clearly displays some or all of the following:

• Computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel and Word
• Must be willing to work flexible hours
• Post-Secondary Education – Diploma in Business or International Logistics is an asset
• Previous experience in transportation or logistics (international or domestic) is preferred

The working environment can include long periods of sitting at a desk and data imputing.
