David Aplin Group, one of Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies, is seeking Human Resource Consultants to work with our clients on a temporary contract basis.

The Role:
Provide consultative services with respect to staffing decisions and processes; determine appropriate selection tools for job competitions and conduct competition audits
Ensure staffing and related activities comply with collective agreements, legislation and policy, as well as support applicable workplace diversity objectives
Identify training needs based on client business plans and employee performance development plans
Develop and implement training programs based upon client need
Provide career counselling and other counselling services to employees
Assist in the professional development of staff
Conduct exit interviews

The Ideal Candidate:
University Degree or College Diploma or equivalent experience with focus on Human Resources Management, Labour Relations, Collective Bargaining, Staffing, Training and Development
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite of products
Extensive knowledge of HR Practices
Thorough knowledge of applicable NS Legislation, effective recruitment and selection practices, principles of diversity in the workplace
CHRP designation an asset
Experience utilizing a human resource information system
Valid NS driver’s license
