David Aplin Group, one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit an HRIS Analyst based in Winnipeg, MB.
The HRIS Analyst is responsible for continuously identifying improvements across HR systems and processes, in an effort to achieve the overall mandate of ease of use for the end users and enhanced tracking & reporting capabilities for managers and administrators. This person serves as a technical point of contact for its team and users, assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing, developing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities and serves as a point of contact for problem-solving with service providers, escalating as necessary.
The scope includes support, configuration, design and enhancement and maintenance of Payroll, Benefits, Performance, Time and Attendance, Recruitment, etc. This role is responsible for system maintenance, HR data entry, analysis, and reporting of HR data. The HRIS Analyst is the primary support point for HR professionals and end users for all HR related-data. This position serves as the liaison to the software provider and IT partner.

The Role:
Partner with human resources systems team for any work required to maintain HR Information Systems tools. Responsible for maintenance, testing and ensuring data integrity
Oversees the integrity of HRIS data in support of payroll, benefits and HR end user day-to-day operations, processing and reporting, and as it relates to interface dependent systems
Designs and implements data integrity checks and trains users on the importance of accuracy
Recommends and implements business process improvements having an HRIS component and may serve on multi-discipline teams to implement business process changes
Oversee all system upgrades and adhere to regular required maintenance schedules using quality assurance best practices, to ensure smooth system integration with minimal interruption to the Business
Requires systems knowledge, technical knowledge and generalist knowledge of HR and Payroll Activities
Active participant in HR functions as a process and systems expert which include job evaluation process, annual engagement survey and the annual performance cycle
Adept to trouble shooting, working with resources to test and apply updates and developments on the system
Assists in the design and delivery of training programs for all employees in the use of the HRIS
Partners with internal IT staff on more complex and/or recurring requests to determine appropriate course of action
Strong organizational and time management skills
High degree of confidentiality, judgement and business acumen

The Ideal Candidate:
Completion of a post-secondary education, with a focus on business management, human resources or information technology
3 years’ experience working with HRIS systems. Strong knowledge of Human Resources and Technology
High degree of computer literacy, particularly use of MS Excel, SQL and Crystal Reporting
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in HR and payroll concepts, HR polices and Legislation
Experience in OrgPlus is an asset
