Our network, which includes over 300 corporate stores, is growing rapidly. Over the next few months, we will open approximately ten stores throughout eastern Canada, to which we will integrate a new food service concept. We are looking for an exceptional person to support the recruitment of hundreds of new employees in the coming year.

ARE YOU UP FOR THIS CHALLENGE? YOUR MANDATE: Reporting to the Supervisor, Human Resources, you will work in conjunction with the senior staffing advisor, the human resources advisors and the territory supervisors in order to support the Operations team throughout the various recruitment activities in Quebec, Ontario and the Atlantic Provinces. More specifically, you will have to:

  • Prioritize the staffing needs throughout our convenience store network, and maximize the added value of the services provided by the human resources department;
  • Conduct the entire recruitment and selection process for in-store positions, in accordance with organizational priorities:
    • Speak with the managers to fully understand the staffing needs;
    • Proceed with job postings;
    • Sort and analyze the applications received;
    • Conduct telephone screening interviews;
    • Meet the candidates for in-person interviews, with or without the managers;
    • Inform and coach the managers through the various stages of the staffing process;
    • Check the candidates’ references;
    • Advise the managers during the final decision-making process; conduct follow-up on offers of employment;
  • Participate in the development of innovative recruitment strategies and manage their execution, including through social media;
  • Coordinate and participate in various recruitment events on-site (job fairs, mass hiring days, etc.);
  • Cooperate with local employment stakeholders from the sectors in the process of mass recruitment;
  • Assist the HR team in certain human resources projects.


  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial relations or human resources management, or equivalent training and/or experience;
  • One (1) to three (3) years of relevant experience (mass recruitment in the retail industry);
  • Perfect bilingualism – about 50% of the mandates will be carried out in Ontario and the Atlantic provinces (language tests will be administered);
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Team spirit and customer service focus;
  • Energetic and driven;
  • Resourceful, autonomous and able to work alone, on the road with minimal supervision;
  • Meticulous, able to conduct follow-ups and meet deadlines;
  • Excellent priority and stress management skills;
  • Must be available to work in several provinces, sometimes for several consecutive weeks, and occasionally, on short notice;
  • Must be ready to work long consecutive hours, as required;
  • Must have access to a car at all times
  • Member of the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés (an asset)
