The Financial Services Advisor is responsible for arranging automotive financing solutions for customers. Key areas of responsibility include: Interviewing customer for thorough completion of credit application; communicating with internal and external lenders to secure financing; ensuring Company and Lender policies and procedures are carried out and adhered to; working cooperatively with internal and external customers and service providers. This role further requires the individual to maintain positive relationships between staff, General Managers, and other departments. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Work directly with customers to complete finance transactions according to Company and Lender policies, procedures and best practices, including conducting thorough interview process and liaising with lenders to ensure customers are provided optimum financing solutions
Develop creative solutions for approvals including deal structure; ensure National Vehicle Leasing is the primary source of financing for applicants (right of first refusal)
Obtain Credit Bureau and assess risk
Review Dealer Track and internet leads daily for non-prime opportunities and follow up with customer to complete transaction
Upon completion of financing arrangements, refer customer to Sales Consultant for vehicle selection and deal close
Complete finance documents with customer once vehicle is selected
Sale of after-sale products including warranties, GAP insurance, life insurance, accident and health, etc.
Upon completion of sales and financing agreements, submit documentation to lenders for funding and follow up to ensure funds have been forwarded to complete deal
Address and resolve customer concerns and complaints
Maintain positive relationships with Management, team members, other departments, lenders and third parties to ensure targets are met and exceeded, while adhering to Company and Lender policies, procedures and best practices
Other duties may be assigned as required


Minimum two years’ experience in automotive sales or finance
Proven track record of success having met or exceeded targets
Ability to work well under pressure, individually and as part of a team
Ability to interpret information provided by Credit Bureau and assess risk
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proven conflict resolution and negotiation skills
Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships
Excellent work ethic and integrity
Flexible and adaptable, ability to change priorities quickly and innovative thinking within the framework of Company policies, procedures and best practices
Previous experience in non-prime automotive finance is an asset
