Our flagship brand progressa, (www.progressa.com) is trying to change the way average Canadians get and use credit. We launched in July 2013 offering term loans coast to coast. We’ve grown to 25 staff in less than 2 years and we are just getting started! We have doubled our loans volume over the past year and now we are gearing up for our next phase of growth. We are in search of a high-energy, creative and detail-oriented person for a Marketing Manager position. Initially reporting to the CEO and COO, the Marketing Manager is responsible for coordinating marketing, advertising, and PR issues for the company.


  • Develop and execute marketing strategy in accordance with budget
  • Oversee work of content providers to ensure meets standards for brand identity and positioning
  • Help prioritize marketing initiatives
  • Coordinate production of a wide range of marketing collateral including print materials, posters, signage, packaging, displays, training materials, etc. . .
  • Evaluate, negotiate and implement advertising campaigns (print, radio, outdoor, etc..)
  • Influence, monitor and work closely with the content designers for all marketing materials
  • Manage, monitor and enhance Social Media content/community
  • Ensure successful integration of social media & digital content into marketing programs
  • Engage in public relations to increase brand awareness through media coverage
  • Evaluate potential new partners and vendors to support company marketing objectives
  • Develop partnerships and cross-promotional opportunities to expose the brand to new audience


  • At least 3-5 years of work experience in marketing is required (at a lending institution is an asset but not required)
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with an ability to work independently and in teams
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills. A real ‘people person’
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to establish and follow an annual marketing plan and budget
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office, WordPress, social media platforms and other technologies. Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite an asset.
  • Flare for creativity with the ability to contribute new ideas and programs to support the brand’s marketing and sales objectives
  • Experience in, knowledge of or an interest to learn about the alternative lending space
