Creation Technologies is offering the following career opportunity:

Role: BUILDING MAINTENANCE (Facilities Technician)

Status: 2 ROLES – 1 PERM & 1 CONTRACT (6 Months with a possibility to become a permanent role)

Location: BURNABY

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide facilities related service to the business unit
  • Manage, prioritize, and communicate the status of facilities task requests
  • Proactively maintain facilities related equipment
  • Provide back up support to the manufacturing machine maintenance team
  • Communicate with contractors and vendors
  • Continually seek out opportunities for improvement of facilities operations and look-and-feel

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Must have high standard for quality of work, safety, and customer service
  • Embraces change and views challenges as opportunities to learn and grow
  • General “handy-man” skills
  • Excellent English communication skills and technical writing abilities
  • Strong team player and leader able to function independently with minimal supervision
  • Minimum 2 years of facilities maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Comfortable at ladder heights
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must have valid BC drivers license
  • Preference will be given to a candidate with relevant technical training and experience associated with facilities maintenance such as:
  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a combination of relevant experience and education
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems
  • Forklift and scissor lift training/certification
  • Computer skills (MS Office, AutoCAD)
