Human Resources (People & Culture) Administrator

We are seeking a driven individual who will be truly motivated to provide world-class support and champion our unique culture. In this highly interactive position, the successful candidate will provide assistance and support to all personnel, with a focus on maintaining good communications, promoting people satisfaction and retention.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to:

Administration :

  • Maintaining accurate personnel files while ensuring confidentiality of information
  • Creating and maintaining various reports
  • Preparing and delivering communications
  • Maintaining office and boardroom cleanliness and appearance
  • Event/meeting planning, including lunch and preparation of meeting rooms
  • Responsible for various services which includes contracts, pricing, ordering of supplies, etc.

Recruitment :

  • Providing recruiting support: job postings, resume pre-screening, applicant tracking, phone interviewing, scheduling in house interviews and reference checking
  • Responsible for new hire orientations and processing new hire paperwork

Payroll Administration :

  • Preparing payroll forms
  • Collecting required signatures for any payroll-related information changes
  • Updating ADP system (HR-Payroll database)

Engagement :

  • Actively participating and organizing various social activities such as: anniversary celebrations, holiday events and lunch & learn sessions
  • Assisting with on-going People & Culture projects as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Completion of a Post-Secondary degree/diploma in Human Resources
    • 2+ years of professional administrative experience
    • Ability to work with a high degree of confidentiality
    • Quickly build and maintain rapport with others
    • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize different activities
    • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Organized and self-motivated with the ability to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment
    • Attention to detail and commitment to quality are essential
    • Computer proficiency including Windows, MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
    • Must be professional with a positive attitude and outgoing personality
    • Experience in the Manufacturing industry is an asset
