POSITION: Admissions Counsellor

DEPARTMENT: Enrolment & Student Services Division

CONTRACT: Full Time, 12 months

EFFECTIVE: May 2016. Applications will be reviewed continuously until the position is filled

JOB SUMMARY:
The Counsellor’s main responsibilities will be centered on the recruitment of students as well as processing and
maintaining of records related to prospects, inquiries and undergraduate applications within his/her designated

territory. Essential skills include accurate data input, timely responses to inquiries, organizational skills, public

speaking, and the ability to interact well with prospective students, guidance counsellors, public schools, Christian

schools, other university departments and committees, as well as external partners.

In collaboration with the Admissions team, this person will represent the University and assist with the production

of showcase activities and events for potential students. Responsibilities also include tracking inquiries, counselling

of prospective students, assessing student applications and various other duties as delegated by the Director of

Admissions. This position will involve heavy travel relative to recruitment activities.

This person will be an individual who interacts well with students and handles their inquiries in an efficient and

affirming manner. The Admissions Counsellor works towards the efforts and activities of the admissions team in

accordance with the established recruitment plan.

Education: Minimum of an Undergraduate degree.

Salary: Level 3 ($29,927 – $38,784) plus benefits
