Who We Are:

China Petroleum Engineering & Construction Corporation (abbreviated to CPECC) is affiliated with China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) and is a CNPC professional company specialized in oil engineering, manufacturing, construction and lump-sum contracting. It is now the most representative company of CNPC in domestic and international petroleum project construction.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with management.
• Determine project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors.
• Determine project specifications by studying engineering design and client requirements, completing technical studies; assisting project management to prepare cost estimates.
• Ensure construction plans meet guidelines and specifications of building codes and other regulations.
• Determine project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.
• Prepares status reports, monitors contractors and schedule, coordinate activities and resolve problems.
• Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes, recommending actions.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules and regulations.
• Maintains and updates a complete submittal, reviews submittal for conformance to contract documents and tracks submittal process timely.
• Responsible for the external documents correspondence.
• Piping Engineering or Civil Engineering background is preferred.
• Fulfill tasks assigned by Project Manager.
• Travel to job site (as required).

QUALIFICATIONS:

• APEGA license mandatory.
• Able to carry out tasks with minimal supervision
• Excellent leadership, verbal and communication skills.
• Critical thinking skills
• 8+ years engineering experience in Oil & Gas Industry, mostly in North America.
• 2+ years project management experience in Oil & Gas Industry.
• Mandarin speaking is considered an asset.
• Fluency in English language.
