Reporting to the Assistant Site Leader, the Scheduler shares responsibility for the day to-day coordination of the scheduling functions at St. Teresa Place. The successful incumbent will ensure that employees are scheduled appropriately for work in accordance with policies, proqedures, budgets and contractual obligations of Covenant Care, using appropriate scheauling software. A Scheduler provides an essential customer service to the employees of Covenant Care.
- Minimum Grade 12 required
- Previous experience with automated systems in a health care setting required
- Strong customer service background required
- Knowledge of shift scheduling required
- Completed recognized unit clerk coarse an asset
- Effective organization, verbal and written (English) communication skills required
- Must be able to exercise judgment, professionalism, diplomacy and discretion particularly when dealing with highly sensitive and confidential issues
- Will take decisive action under pressure with significant mental/visual demands with the ability to handle competing and frequently conflicting priorities within tight deadlines
- Working knowledge of the payroll process as it relates to scheduling is an asset
- Previous experience in an administrative position an asset
- Proficiency with computer applications, such as MS Office (word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
