Job Summary:

Costin Paving and Contracting, part of the Municipal Group of Companies, is a premium quality trucking, excavating, and asphalt paving company that has been in operation for more than 60 years. The company is now searching for their next crew member working as a full-time Class 1 Driver based out of our location in Amherst, NS.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safe operation of equipment hauling asphalt, gravel, and floating equipment;
• Loading and unloading materials, assisting the street crew in various labour tasks as needed;
• Performing pre-trip and post trip inspections;
• Good judgement and decision making;
• Must be comfortable working long hours and working in warm weather.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience:

• Valid Class 1 Driver’s license;
• Submission of Driver’s Abstract;
• Working safely is a condition of employment;
• Team player with a professional demeanor at all times;
• Two to three years of driving and labour experience preferred.
