Media Planner

About the Role

Reporting to the Manager, of the In-House Media Agency, you will assist in developing, implementing, tracking, and optimizing our multimedia advertising campaigns in support of B2B marketing efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute effective media placement strategies using all available media from third-party suppliers and the Corus family of assets.
  • Lead the digital strategy, execution and optimization of display campaign initiatives.
  • Liaise with internal Marketing Team Leaders to establish strategic objectives and develop media budgets.
  • Identify, initiate, negotiate and oversee the execution of contra partnerships with appropriate media organizations.
  • Seek-out new and innovative media opportunities for Shaw marketing initiatives.
  • Provide pre- and post-buy analysis of all campaigns.
  • Create and maintain budget control reports.
  • Liaise with Media Coordinators to facilitate the processing of ad insertions, schedules, and corresponding invoicing

About You

What We Need From You:

  • Minimum four years experience as a media planner, within an agency or media organization.
  • Preferably having experience with B2B accounts.
  • Extensive experience planning and buying Digital, broadcast and non-broadcast media.
  • Experience in digital optimization and understanding of the digital landscape
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Superior negotiating skills.
  • Superior interpersonal skills.
  • Extensive experience creating and analyzing media research.
  • Ability to able to adapt to a fast-paced, ever changing media environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
