Our Vancouver-area client is looking for a combined Senior Business Analyst / Project Manager to support the ongoing rollout of a major enterprise application. The larger project consists of many tasks, mini projects and full projects. The BA/PM will be responsible for coordinating, monitoring, reporting on and managing multiple projects where necessary.

This contract will require working from the Client’s Vancouver-area office. The initial contract term will be 3 months with the possibility of further extensions.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities for this role are:

  • Develop project approach in conjunction with IT stakeholders including methodology, sequencing, scope, timeline, and rollout.
  • Develop detailed and repeatable project plan based on the above-approved project approach.
  • Facilitate workshop(s) with key stakeholders to identify and document key information flow and system requirements (process capabilities) for the future state.
  • Prepare and document future process flows & maps based on applicable scenarios.
  • Conduct lessons learned across various stakeholders.
  • Identify the stages of go-live and ensure IT groups are working towards those dates.

Prepare go-live support materials, align staff and ensure awareness of go-live processes.

  • Identify all staffing needs well in advance of each stage. Significant stages include training, setup & support.

Key Qualifications

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following experience and skill attributes:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in the related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a Project/Change Management role.
  • Experience working within public agencies.
  • Experience in working on multiple projects at the same time.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-management skills.
  • MS Project, Visio, PowerPoint and Excel skills.
  • ITIL Certification desirable.
  • PMP Certification desirable.
  • Lean Six Sigma desirable.
  • Change management certification desirable.
