Our client, a well-established IT solutions provider located in Toronto, Ontario is in search of a highly skilled individual to take on the role of Senior Solution Architect. The Senior Solution Architect will have the ability to effectively interface with the firm’s channel partner sales resources and their respective end user clientele. Thus, the incumbent will act as a customer focused technical sales executive with the ability to sell complex security and professional services to resolve specific business needs.

The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to negotiate contracts by developing lasting and valued business relationships with clients and industry professionals. Thus, the primary role of the incumbent will be winning new business, generating and maximizing revenue by selling the firm’s services via channel partners to end user customers.


  • Represent and sell the firm’s strategic solutions portfolio of managed infrastructure, security and IT professional services.
  • Engage and consult with the firm’s channel partners, prospects and customers at all levels in the firm (i.e. Business, Executives, Finance, Information Technology, and Sourcing).
  • Connect with Channel Account Executives and their extended teams to actively pursue clients with the aim to drive services growth territorially.
  • Work cohesively with the firm’s Professional Services and Consulting teams to initiate opportunities while managing funnel to meet growth and revenue commitments.
  • Preparation of quotations, proposals, business cases, presentations and supporting documents.
  • Must be committed to understanding the firm’s products and services with the ability to effectively demonstrate the same to channel partners and end user clientele.
  • Must continuously focus on moving opportunities through the sales cycle.
  • Provide small “c” consulting regarding IT operations, management, security and other services.


  • Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
  • Formal business training (i.e. MBA) is considered a great asset.
  • Sales training and accounting planning is an asset.
  • At least 8 years experience in the IT industry, with a minimum of 5 years in pre-sales engineering.
  • 5 years developing complete IT solutions
  • Must demonstrate a thorough understanding of IT architecture and best practices and methodologies of the following platforms:
  • Microsoft Solutions (i.e. MS SQL, MS Azure/EMS, MS Active Directory/Window Server
  • Data Centre Solutions
  • Knowledge of Servers (Dell, IBM, HPE)
  • Barracuda (Backup server, archiving)
  • Security (Intel, Baracuda, Cisco, General Endpoint Security, Alto)
  • Citrix
  • MS Azure

Must be willing to re-locate to Toronto.
