Schedule: Camp Position – 14 days on, 14 days off; Compressed Work Week TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full time, Temporary, On call, Shift, Day, Weekend SALARY: To be discussed – based on experience. Medical benefits, Dental benefits, Life insurance benefits, Group insurance benefits and Vision care benefits Experience: 3+ years Location: Fort McMurray, AB Credentials: Driver’s License and clean driver’s Abstract, H2S Alive, CSTS, First Aid/CPR The Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) Advisor has the primary on-site role in preventing workplace incidents. Skills: Strong computer/administrative skills a MUST. THE HEALTH & SAFETY ADVISOR WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR: * Performing daily surveillance for compliance with HS&E regulations on our job site * Conducting safety audits and reviews * Assisting in investigation and reporting of incidents and complaints * Leading and participating in daily on site toolbox and safety meetings * Performing new employee safety orientations * Assisting Project Managers and workers with hazard assessments, near miss reports, etc * Recommending improvements to HS&E tools, processes, policies, and training * Managing daily summaries for site productivity. * Monitoring sub-contractor compliance to safety standards * Assisting with emergency situations, as applicable * Performing other HSE duties as assigned of a similar level * Developing JHA’s * Tracking all TRIF and LTUI’s within the organization * Maintaining Safety records on Comply works/ISNetworld etc. * Completing prequalification statistics for new opportunities. THE REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS OF THIS ROLE INCLUDE: * Gas & Oilfield Experience 3-5 years * Understanding of HS&E concepts and principles * Ability to communicate and lead improvement initiatives * Strong skill level in MS Office Package and Excel * Strong report writing skills * National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) or other recognized safety certification.
