We are looking for an Analyst to join our Vancouver-based Investment Analytics team. Job Description

  • Performance calculations, attribution analysis, and portfolio risk reporting across multiple asset classes
  • Perform market and competitor research in support of sales and marketing
  • Complete discovery, define and document objectives, and develops solutions that align with the unique needs of Affiliates
  • Take responsibility for issues at first point of contact and engages with team members to effectively resolve issues
  • Research, propose, and maintain performance measurement and attribution methodologies for existing and new products
  • Develop and manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide analytical problem solving and troubleshooting
  • Implement and monitor processes and procedures to ensure proper internal controls Support team leads in output review
  • Understand new products and ensure proper reports are in place
  • Coach and support junior staff including providing oversight, training, and development
  • Other duties/responsibilities and projects as assigned.

Candidate Profile

  • At least 4 to 8 years of experience in the investment industry with at least 3 years direct experience with investment analytics, GIPS, and performance measurement
  • Advanced knowledge of performance measurement, attribution and standards
  • Experience with various investment products including Global Equity, Fixed Income and Hedge Funds
  • Good understanding of investment strategies and mandates
  • Experience in supporting a financial product sales team
  • Undergraduate degree in business, computer science, mathematics, statistics or comparable experience
  • Completion or significant progress towards the completion of a CFA or FRM professional designation, equivalent education and experience would be considered
  • Intermediate to Advanced MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with experience working with large datasets.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems and software
  • Superior analytical skills with a ability to identify key problems and communicate them efficiently
  • Proven ability to work in a demanding environment with strict deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a team environment
