General Purpose Connectit Networks has an immediate need for a technical project manager that will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific telephony projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities -lead the planning, execution and complete project tasks in short sprints -facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables -define project tasks and resource requirements -develop full scale project plans -meet client to discuss the system design and determine the client’s needs and expectations -ensure that the client is well taken care of the day of installation by being on-site -schedule kick off meeting with internal staff after fact finding meeting with client -order lines and do portability orders -open service orders to release project resources -close service orders to ensure project completion criteria have been met -obtain client’s approval for final deliverables and handover project documentation -evaluate performance against defined project goals -schedule, coordinate and manage the cabling and installation with assigned technician -coordinate project staff and manage project resource allocation -manage project budget and invoices from subcontractors -plan and schedule project timelines -track project deliverables using appropriate tools -provide direction and support to project team and client -increase team collaboration and communication -stay focused on the goal -create transparency among team members -identify techniques for quality control and develop quality plan -constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all staff members and related clients -present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions in order to conduct project reviews -implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs Key competencies: -critical thinking and problem solving skills -easily adapt to changing business requirements -planning and organizing -communication skills -delegation -team work -adaptability -stress tolerance -attention to detail -interactive communication skills -sense of urgency -multi-tasking -ability to stay focused on the goal Pre-Requisite Qualifications: -minimum of 4 years as a seasoned technical project manager with direct work experience in telephony and cabling projects -strong bilingual communication skills, oral and written, with a high level of confidence -flexible hours, some overtime may be required -qualification in project management or equivalent -knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management -knowledge of project management techniques, tools and management software -vehicle is a must -customer relations management -PMP accreditation or in process of attaining the PMP status We offer: -a competitive salary based on qualification -the candidate will be eligible for group insurance after three months -car expenses paid when travelling on the road
