Territory Manager – Vancouver

We are looking for a Territory Manager to join our Sales team, responsible for the Lower Mainland, working 4 days a week (30 hours).

Concord National is a progressive national food brokerage representing national and regional brands in the retail grocery, mass merchandisers and drug industry. We are flexible, adaptable, street smart and completely dedicated to building the brands we represent.

As a Territory Manager, you will be primarily responsible for achieving or exceeding sales objectives (KPI’s) for the assigned territory. This is done through effective communication, in-person appointments, and consistent follow-up with customers and potential customers. You will be working out of your home-office and are expected to spend most your time (90%) supporting your designated clients in the field.

The incumbent will initially be given a car allowance pending successful completion of the probation period, at which time they will be issued with a company vehicle.

Primary Duties:

  • Manage the defined retail territory, selling to all accounts as assigned
  • Establish a regular call-cycle to meet individual and company established objectives and targets
  • Build solid working relationships with decision makers through demonstrated integrity, reliability and consistency
  • Problem solve, and deliver solutions at the retail level and provide customized plans that meet the store and company objectives
  • Responsible for weekly and monthly processing of administrative tasks including auditing, and promotional plans
  • Accountable for all merchandising duties such as auditing, couponing, point of sale material etc.
  • Negotiate and maximize in store presence and placement for new and existing products, shelf position and display opportunities
  • Prospect, explore and advises on new account opportunities
  • Work with Automated Retail Sales Software Programs as required
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Develop an understanding of the industry and transfer this knowledge to the management of accounts reporting on competitive and industry news
  • Be a Concord ambassador, who exemplifies our culture in all internal and external communications and interactions.

Education and Experience

  • Business or marketing Degree, OR an equivalent combination of experience and training in the Packaged Goods industry
  • At least 2 + years related sales experience in the Packaged Goods industry.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Travel Requirements

  • Majority of travel will be within the lower mainland; some travel will be out of town.
