IT Help Desk Manager

The Help Desk Manager leads of team to provides high quality user support and customer service regarding company supported computer applications and platforms as well as troubleshoot problems and advises on the appropriate action.

Main Responsibilities Include

  • Build Helpdesk team
  • Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone and electronically.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.
  • Research questions using available information resources.
  • Advise users on appropriate actions.
  • Follow standard Help Desk procedures, including using our ticketing system.
  • Redirect problems to appropriate resource.
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention.
  • Track and route problems and requests and document resolutions.
  • Stay current with system information, changes and updates.
  • Carry out all other duties as assigned.

Training and Experience:

  • 5+ years experience in help desk, IT support, or its equivalent.
  • Diploma/Degree in Information Technology or related field.

Essential Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of general computer software (incl. Microsoft, Adobe, etc) and ability to quickly learn new software.
  • Expert in using Autotask
  • Networking ability and experience with call tracking applications required.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Solution oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintain a high attention to detail and quality of work.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware; experience building computers an asset.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented
