Radiant Communications is looking for a Network Engineer who will work well in a fast-paced but casual environment. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, results-driven individual who excels in challenging work and diverse responsibilities.
Plan, implement, maintain and update network systems and resources
Establishing and documenting process and procedures
“Tier 3″ technical support
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
Administer the production data-center for maximum efficiency, security, and uptime
Contribute to technical proposals, specifications, requirements and design documents
Document systems, configurations and develop automation
Monitor system health, create baselines and trend capacity requirements
Provides support for network and system administration
Performs network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose network problems.
After hour work, Pager duty and 24X7 shift rotation is a requirement
Skills and Experience Required:
Practical hands-on networking (knowledge on configuring access and
core routers and switches) and systems administration experience
5+ years’ experience working in high volume environment, including
Operating system installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of Windows, UNIX/Linux/Solaris an asset
Network Scripting language knowledge and experience
ISP and/or 24×7 operations experience a definite asset
Technical degree, JNCIS, and/or CCIE, CCNP are assets
Hands-on knowledge of Layer 3 protocols (such as BGP, ISIS, OSPF and RIP) and Layer 2 protocols (such Ethernet, PPPoE, and MPLS) required.
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of Scripting or VMWARE an advantage
