HR, Payroll & Administration Responsibilities

• Manage, coach and develop direct reports

• Review semi-monthly and monthly payrolls for Canadian and international offices and oversee year-end payroll reporting requirements

• Review monthly benefit plans invoices and reconciliations

• Provide guidance and pursue solutions for employee relations issues

• Interpret, implement and answer inquiries related to HR policies and procedures

• Participate in company recruitment activities, including new hire onboarding

• Assist with annual increases and bonus process for worldwide staff, managing compensation plans and benchmarking

• Act as administrator for company stock option plan and share appreciation rights plan, reviewing exercises, coordinating with transfer agent and TSX as required

• Oversee completion of annual compensation survey (Mercer Total Compensation)

• Assist with communicating and coordinating office move in early 2017

IR & Compliance Responsibilities

• Schedule investor and analyst meetings quarterly and as required

• Prepare agendas and related materials for quarterly Board meetings

• Manage all aspects of the annual shareholder meeting

• Coordinate quarterly and annual shareholder mailings

• Enforce company disclosure policy, monitoring blackout periods and sending quarterly reminders

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Post-secondary degree in a Human Resources related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Minimum five years of Human Resources experience including prior supervisory or managerial experience

• Experience processing or reviewing payrolls to ensure accuracy

• Familiarity with stock option or other stock-based compensation plans preferred

• Knowledge of public company compliance and reporting requirements would be an asset

• Able to perform successfully in a fast-paced, global, service-oriented environment wearing “many hats” as required

• Good judgment, professionalism, strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative style

• Comfortable resolving conflict and addressing all people related issues
