Position Description

The Labourer will support the direct initiatives of the Nondestructive Inspection Operator in ensuring all tools are properly inspected, faults are detected, and materials are rectified and marked. This role will require the knowledge of using tools and will also be responsible to clean and repair equipment as necessary.

• Assist Inspectors and Supervisor with day to day activities
• Assist Inspectors with safety check lists, all physical inspections and defect detection
• Clean or repair equipment
• Maintenance and cleanliness of shop and work area
• Execute assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Training in inspection procedure is a valuable asset
• Overhead Crane and Forklift training certificate an asset, will train right candidate
• Preference given to those with H2S Alive and First Aid Certifications
• Be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
• Be able to work in fast paced environment and be able to handle repetitive tasks, heavy loads and physically demanding tasks
• Detail orientation; values accuracy and has high standards around quality of work
• Process thinker, with high degree of initiative and ability to work independently
• Positive approach, with willingness to do what is needed
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in a timely and effective fashion
• Strong team player with a positive attitude
• Must be able to stand and/or constant movement for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work well with others, solve problems, make decisions, think critically, find information, and learn continuously

Shift: 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday – Friday, overtime & weekends as needed
