SPUD.ca is looking for a full time, permanent Community Specialist to join the Edmonton, AB team. This is a brand spanking new role in a brand spanking new office and a fantastic opportunity to join a company experiencing terrific growth across Canada!

What you’ll do:

• Events! Identifying the ones we should participate in, working with our design team to produce the awesome materials that will get us attention and sign-ups at them, and being our person on the ground.
• Managing the creation of local marketing assets by working with print shops and other suppliers.
• Executing guerilla marketing campaigns by talking up SPUD at events and in the community.
• Coming up with cool PR ideas and stunts to drive our awareness locally.
• Making recommendations on paid advertising opportunities to the Director of Marketing.
• Championing ways we can better leverage local ambassadors, partnerships and influencers.
• Supporting our Communications Manager in press, ambassador and influencer events and outreach campaigns.
• Keeping on top of budgets and ROI of individual campaigns.

What you will have to be successful in this role:

• Have PASSION! A passion for life, a passion for food, whatever your passion is, we dig it!
• You’ll be a super enthusiastic communicator and marketer, looking for an entry-level job.
• Knowledgeable and passionate about local food, growing community programs and connecting with people.
• Being self-motivated is key, since your manager is based in Vancouver.
• Collaborative and entrepreneurial.
• Experience in marketing would be a huge asset – promotions, event management and/or sales ideally.
