Common Ground Coworking is St. John’s first coworking space. We offer individuals and smallteams an inspiring place to work and collaborate. Many entrepreneurs, community groups, andstudents feel isolated and open to distraction in coffee shops and home offices and many arewary of the financial commitment or lack of flexibility that comes with leasing their own space.

We’re committed to solving those roadblocks for you, offering month-by-month coworking,fixed desk, and private office memberships with access to professional boardrooms and all maintenance and amenities provided for.

This position requires an independent, enthusiastic, highly motivated individual with a keen knowledge of and passion in entrepreneurship. The position will play an integral role in the responsibility of the overall management of the coworking spaces, to meet the needs of current members and tenants while attracting diverse, new individuals to join this community.

Operations will align with the Common Ground Coworking Inc Strategic Plan. The position will provide a leadership role in implementing standards of service excellence to ensure the delivery of high quality service to members, staff, volunteers and Board members. The incumbent will need to display good communication, written skills and is service/quality driven ensuring excellence in all member and public events hosted by Common Ground Coworking Inc.

Duties will include collecting outstanding accounts and issue membership invoices. We are seeking a candidate with the following skills and qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in related field (business administration, commerce, sales,accounting) or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3-years progressive, results oriented, supervisory experience
  • Above average computer and communication skills
  • Knowledge of sales, building relationships and leading staff
  • Experience in sales, selling memberships to meet sales targets
  • Knowledge of budgeting and program software management
  • Excellent supervision and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Ability to maintain professional working relationships with co-workers, businesses and individuals
  • Ability to manage member feedback in an appropriate manner
  • Available to work part-time, flexible hours when required
  • Commitment to working in a socially-inclusive environment, responding with sensitivity and personal awareness to the diverse needs of members including visible and non-visible dimensions of diversity
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a larger team
  • Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills
