JUNIOR PROGRAMMER

The Coleman Group of Companies, a family owned and operated grocery retail chain that has served Newfoundlanders for the past 80 years and is a Platinum Member of Canada’s Best Managed Companies is seeking a Junior Programmer for its Head Office in Corner Brook , NL.

The Junior Programmer will assume responsibility for development and software maintenance. The person will perform program design, coding, testing, documentation, implementation, configuration and support.

Responsibilities :
The Junior Programmer will be responsible for development and software maintenance of existing applications as assigned by the Senior Programmer Analyst and Director of IT. Performs program design, coding, testing, documentation, implementation, configuration, and support. Tracks and monitors the performance of current and/or new systems and corrects operational problems when they occur with production systems software.

Qualifications :
• College Diploma or University Degree in Information Technology
• Direct work experience with application programming languages such as VB.NET and C#
• Experience in the following areas:
• Writing efficient SQL queries and maintaining SSIS packages
• Writing and executing Test Plans
• Maintaining API processes and VB scripts
• Maintaining applications using ASP.NET
• XML
• Strong communication and analytical skills
