CLP & Associates provides advising, corporate services and administrative support services to start ups and junior public companies. We are a small office and we need a detail oriented associate to help keep things organized and provide administrative support. We provide corporate secretarial and governance services. This job would suit someone with a corporate/securities legal background who is also interested / experienced in administration, potentially evolving into a corporate secretarial role.

The position includes:

Providing reception duties and excellent client care;

Performing general office duties such as scanning, maintaining the electronic file system, managing incoming and outgoing mail, ordering office supplies, banking, and managing emails;

Assisting with client needs, including filing reports with regulators, news release dissemination, preparation of reports and presentations;

Setting up board and shareholder meetings and general scheduling requirements to meet deadlines;

Assisting with banking and invoicing duties for CLP and for our clients;

Using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and QuickBooks at an intermediate to advanced level; Completing word processing and document production activities, including formatting, proofreading and overall quality review;

Assisting with other administrative activities as required; and

Contributing your ideas and suggestions for improved efficiency.

We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

Meticulous attention to detail;

Able to work independently or on a team;

Excellent communication skills;

Highly organized and able to juggle deadlines and competing tasks;

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Word and Excel, along with experience in document formatting in Word and building slides in PowerPoint;

Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality;

Professional verbal and written communication skills and exceptional English grammar; Corporate/securities legal training and/or experience a definite asset;

Available to work Monday to Friday.
