As part of the implementation of the 2015-2020 mental health action plan (PASM), the CIUSSS of
West Island of Montreal must have an action plan for on the primacy of person and ensure the
implementation of all measures no later than 2020.

This plan touches on five major themes:
1. Promotion, respect and protection of rights;
2. Fight stigma and discrimination about mental illness and those who have or have had a mental
disorder in the past;
3. Recovery-oriented care;
4. Recognize, promote and support the involvement of members of the entourage;
5. Active participation of users of services and members of their entourage
in the planning and organization of services.

The implementation of the measures will lead us to adapt the service offer in each of the
management services. A major element is to ensure the autonomy of management in the providing training for managers, employees and users with a centered approach on recovery.

For each of the management services, this person must:

  • Coordinate and plan the implementation of the action plan;
  • Facilitate the Primacy of the Person Committee, which includes management, users,

representatives of family members and representatives of community;

  • Design a training program adapted to the recovery approach;
  • Contribute to the review of clinical programming at the Wellington Center;
  • Advise the Mental Health and Addictions Steering Committee in implementing the plan

of action of the primacy of the person.

Requirements :
  • Must have a first university degree in Economics, Administration Science or in the social sciences or another relevant discipline;
  • Knowledge of mental health and mental health action plan;
  • Ability to adjust to different background groups;
  • Ability to communicate easily in front of groups;
  • Proactive, rigor and leadership;
  • Ability to handle multiple requests at once;
  • Ability to work independently;
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in both French and English.
