RECREATION ATTENDANT (SKATEBOARD PARK)
Non-Permanent – Summer

Competition #2015-028

Applications are invited for the non-permanent position of Recreation Attendant at the
Skateboard Park in the Community Services Department.

General Duties:

• Monitor activities throughout the park and prevent accidents through the

enforcement of rules, policies and regulations governing the conduct of persons
using the outdoor skateboard park facility while promoting a leisure atmosphere.

• Assist with development and implementation of programs.
• Assist with implementation of promotional events.
• Prepare and instruct lessons and/or programs.

Desired Qualifications:

• Grade 12
• Valid Driver’s License
• First Aid and CPR-”C”
• Willing to take a CASA Instructor Certification Course or equivalent
• Knowledge of skateboarding/BMX biking/inline skating and the ability to teach

participants the basic skills, park etiquette, and fundamentals of skateboarding, BMX
biking and inline skating.

CLASSIFICATION: Skateboard Park Supervisor

$13.57 to $14.28 per hour (2013 rates)
