This position performs traffic counts, collects other data and field measurements for traffic engineering and transportation planning studies.

Duties
Manual traffic counts at road intersections and data processing.

Mobilization and set-up of automated count equipment at intersections.

Traffic analysis using software applications and MS Excel.

Collision data analysis.

Writing reports and documentation and materials for presentation.

Preparation for and attendance at public consultation events.

Field visits, taking measurements and public surveys.

Working with AutoCAD drawings and GIS maps.

Qualifications
You must be attending school, college, or university during the last school term and returning to your studies in the subsequent academic year.

Enrolled in a Civil Engineering program.

Valid BC Driver’s License

Must be physically able to perform all the duties required.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent communication, customer services and interpersonal skills.

Strong data entry skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access).
