Grass cutting duties at either one of the City owned and operated Golf Courses. Operate hand held tools such as leaf blowers, weed eaters, push mowers and water hoses. Perform other duties as assigned which are directly related to the responsibilities of the position. Assist with set up procedures for golf courses as required. Work in accordance with the provisions of applicable Health and Safety legislation and all City of Hamilton Corporate and Departmental Policies and Procedures.


Demonstrated experience in golf course maintenance and/or landscaping required.

Working knowledge of and ability to operate hand and power tools and equipment in a safe manner.

Knowledge and understanding of the game of golf considered an asset.

Current certification in "Standard" First Aid/CPA as issued by a training agency recognized by the Workplace Safety Insurance Board is considered an asset. High 5 training would be considered an asset.

Demonstrated knowledge of the Health & Safety Act and applicable regulations as it relates to the position.

NOTE: These positions are required to work various shifts including early morning, late evening, weekday and weekend shifts. Applicants must be available for all of these shifts.
