As the Financial Analyst- Accounts Receivable you will:
Supervise staff and provide performance feedback, motivate to high level of performance as well as coach
Develop a high performing team utilizing continuous improvement concepts that maximize employee teamwork contributions, suggestions and decisions
Prepare a variety of management level reports including presentations, graphs, flowcharts and complex analysis
Development of internal controls, oversight and governance on Accounts Receivable functions
Review, recommend and develop changes to processes, directives, policies to advance current needs and issues
Provide technical and professional advice in matters pertaining to Accounts Receivable operations and systems
Develop training material and updates to procedures resulting from policy changes and continuous improvements
Conduct in-depth analysis, audits and escalation of receivables, cost recoveries and other related third parties
Participate in system development, improvements, integration and automation
Qualifications
:
University Degree in an Accounting or Finance related discipline
3 years accounting or financial experience, including project management experience
2 years experience supervising staff in a customer service based environment
Knowledge and experience in the application of accounting / financial systems that maintain financial data and reporting
Technical expertise and knowledge of software applications (SAP, Microsoft Office, Google Applications and Gmail)
Financial and auditing controls knowledge and the ability to prepare a variety of complex and diverse financial reports
High level of analytical and conceptual skills to identify and resolve complex financial problems.
Knowledge of GAAP as related to Municipal Government is required, as well as knowledge of legislation including Government Act, GST and FOIP is considered an asset
Proven ability to develop, implement and evaluate process improvements in a continuous improvement setting
Attention to detail in checking and recording financial transactions
Strong problem solving, conflict and mediation skills and ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the City
Excellent customer service while ensuring adherence to professional standards
Hours of Work:
33.75 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
Salary:
$37.162 – $46.658 (Hourly); $65,470.15 – $82,199.73 (Annually)
